I am Alexandra Wheat, a young, up-and-coming artist in Arcata, California. I have been drawing, painting, and creating for as long as I can remember. As a student at Cal Poly Humboldt, I have had the opportunity to explore different media and techniques, honing my skills and developing a unique style.

Inspired by Frieda Kahlo, Henry Matisse, Agnes Martin, and Mary Cassatt, I try to create artwork that runs the gauntlet. My work often features vivid colors and strikingly stylized motifs. My use of color, texture, and composition is particularly striking, and attention to detail is evident in every piece.

I am an active member of the west coast arts circuit and enjoy collaborating with other artists on community projects.

Looking to the future, I hope to continue to pursue my passion for art and expand my horizons by exploring new media and techniques. I am excited to see where my artistic journey takes me and am committed to using my talent to positively impact the world around me.
